Eating healthy can be hard for people who love foods like burgers. Fitness influencer Vanshika Khurana shared a tasty solution: a spicy burger salad. The recipe satisfies burger cravings while keeping
calories low and protein high.
In her video, Vanshika explained the inspiration behind the dish. “If you’re craving a burger, then make this burger salad which tastes like a cheat meal,” she said. She added that during her college days, she would eat burgers frequently, which led to weight gain and health issues like PCOS. “For fat loss, I needed a low-calorie version that still satisfied my burger cravings, and that’s how this was born,” she shared.

How the Healthy Burger Salad is Made
The recipe replaces the traditional burger bun and mayo with healthier alternatives. Paneer, marinated in spices and coated with whole-wheat breadcrumbs, is grilled until crispy to give that classic burger texture. A quick yogurt-based sauce made with skyr, chili flakes, garlic powder, and ketchup replaces mayonnaise while keeping the protein high.
Key Ingredients:
• 80g low-fat paneer, 80g skyr
• ½ head lettuce, 1 small tomato, ½ cucumber, 1 small capsicum
• Spices: red chili powder, mixed herbs, garam masala, black pepper
• 1 tsp oil, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp chili flakes, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp ketchup, juice of half a lemon, salt to taste
Method:
1. Mix oil, spices, ginger-garlic paste, and salt to make a marinade.
2. Coat paneer with the marinade and breadcrumbs, then grill until golden and crispy.
3. Prepare a sauce with skyr, spices, and ketchup.
4. Assemble chopped vegetables and grilled paneer in a bowl, pour sauce, toss, and enjoy.
High-Protein, Low-Calorie Cheat Meal
According to Vanshika, this burger salad has about 30g of protein and only 430 calories, making it perfect for a healthy but filling meal. It gives the taste of a burger without the extra calories.
Fitness fans and food lovers have praised the recipe as a tasty alternative to fast food, showing that healthy eating can be fun and flavourful.
