The Iranian Army on Tuesday issued a fresh threat to the United States, saying it would “open new fronts” in the fight if Washington resumes strikes. This came after US President Donald Trump said he held
off on launching a planned military strike on Iran as “serious negotiations” were underway.
“If the enemy is foolish enough to fall into the Zionist trap again and launches new aggression against our beloved Iran, we will open new fronts against it, with new equipment and new methods,” Iran’s ISNA news agency quoted army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia as saying.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency quoted senior Iranian commander Major General Ali Abdollahi as warning the United States and its allies against making another “strategic mistake” against Iran, saying that the country was “more prepared and stronger than in the past” and was ready to respond to any aggression.
“If our enemies commit another mistake, we will confront them with power and capabilities far greater than during the Ramadan imposed war. We would defend the rights of the Iranian nation with all strength and would cut off the hand of any aggressor,” he added.
