Long before crossovers between Bollywood and regional cinema became a trend, Salman Khan appeared in a Punjabi song during a New Year program that aired around 1990–91. Fresh off his blockbuster Maine
Pyar Kiya, which turned him into one of the biggest heartthrobs of Indian cinema, the superstar left everyone surprised with this move. Yes, that’s exactly what happened. Now, the Internet is revisiting those days as a snippet from the song finds its way on social media.
The video emerged online, features the song Jugni, a track that went on to become a cultural hit in Punjabi households. In the song, Salman Khan shared screen space with actress Manjit Kular, who later went on to rule Punjabi cinema throughout the 1990s. Nearly three decades in the industry, Salman Khan still shows no signs of slowing down. Last seen in AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, he is now busy filming for Battle of Galwan. Salman Khan On His Role In Battle Of Galwan
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is “physically demanding” for Salman Khan, as he shared in a chat with PTI. He said, “It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult. I have to give more time now. Earlier, I would manage it in one or two weeks, but now I’m running, kicking, punching, and doing all that stuff. This film demands that. For instance, in Sikandar, the action was different, the character was different. But this is physically difficult—especially shooting in Ladakh, at high altitudes and in cold water.”

She brings a unique combination of strength and sensitivity that will complement Salman Sir’s brooding yet quiet strength.”
