Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Vivek Oberoi-starrer Mastiii 4 has landed in legal trouble after well-known content creator Ashish Sharma filed a case against the makers in Delhi High Court, alleging
that a key comedy scene in the movie mirrors his 11-million-view reel without any prior consent from him.
As per a report, Sharma claimed that a sequence in Mastiii 4 closely resembles his reel titled “Shaq Karne Ka Nateeja,” which he posted on his Instagram two years back in January 2024. In his plea, Sharma claimed that the film’s producers copied the central idea of his story along with the storyline, character interactions, sequence of events, and even the comic punchline.
In his plea, he not only demanded a permanent injunction but also financial compensation and a full report of profits, saying his work was used without permission or credit.

‘Mastiii 4 Not to Objectify Women’
Recently, Aftab Shivdasani discussed the Milap Zaveri directorial when he explained that the film does not encourage objectifying women or promote extramarital affairs.
“From Masti 1, people said we were objectifying women and promoting extramarital affairs. But the premise of the film was simple: three men want to have fun outside, but end up learning a lesson from their wives. We were never trying to preach. It’s all for entertainment, not to oversensitize people. Many serious films have tackled the topic of affairs, but no one questions those,” the actor told Times Now.
Moreover, he added that films like Masti are intended to make people laugh. There are many independent films about extramarital affairs, but when Masti touches on it, it causes a big stir. It’s only for fun and people should not take it seriously.
