The tensions between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh continue to escalate after the Dhurandhar actor’s alleged abrupt exit from Don 3. From legal notices to FWICE directives, the feud is playing out like
a movie itself. Now, in an interesting development, FWICE’s chief adviser, Ashoke Pandit, has revealed that many Bollywood insiders, including Aamir Khan, have personally tried to pacify these tensions.
Ashoke Pandit told Hindi Rush, “Many people from the industry, including Aamir Khan, had been trying to resolve the issue before it came to us. That also didn’t work. Today it’s Ranveer Singh. Tomorrow it could be someone else. This is what Excel is going through. If it was someone else, they would have gone to hell.”
He added, “They would have sold their house. You may have ten valid reasons for not doing a film. But if money has been spent because you committed to the project, then those losses should be reimbursed.” Farhan Akhtar has claimed that he has incurred a loss of Rs 45 crore after Ranveer’s exit. Ashoke said that no one, no matter the designation, should be allowed to leave projects at the last minute.
Meanwhile, it was earlier believed that Salman Khan had also personally spoken to Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh and tried to play the peacemaker due to his fondness for the Akhtars. However, later reports dismissed these claims and said that they were only rumours and that Salman has played no part in the tensions.
Ranveer Singh Vs Farhan Akhtar
The fallout between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over Don 3 has become one of Bollywood’s biggest controversies. According to multiple online reports, Singh exited the film due to creative differences with the makers. Several reports also suggested that Ranveer was unhappy with repeated delays in production and the absence of a locked final script.
What initially appeared to be a routine casting change has now escalated into a legal matter, with Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment demanding Rs 45 crore in compensation and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issuing a non-cooperation directive against the actor, which has now been revoked.
