Mrunal Thakur, who is currently promoting her latest music video Bheegi Bheegi, has shared her heartfelt views on love amid ongoing relationship rumours linking her to actor Dhanush. The actress described
love as a deeply transformative and healing experience that helps people grow into better versions of themselves.
In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Mrunal spoke about the emotional power of love and why she believes everyone deserves it. “I think love is a beautiful feeling and should happen to each and everyone on this planet. It changes you into a better person. It is literally like reparenting and fixing your inner child issues,” she said. Mrunal added that she genuinely hopes everyone experiences love at least once in their life.
When asked if women are more giving when they are in love, Mrunal strongly disagreed and said love has nothing to do with gender. “Not necessarily. Anyone who is in love is more giving. But what’s important is also accepting love,” she explained. According to the actress, being in love means surrendering and caring deeply for the other person, regardless of whether it’s a man or a woman. “Jab pyaar hota hai, you just do things for that person,” she said.
Relationship Rumours With Dhanush Addressed
Mrunal’s comments come at a time when she has been linked to Dhanush, with reports even claiming that the two were planning a private wedding on February 14, 2026. However, these rumours were officially debunked, with insiders dismissing them as false. The speculation reportedly began after the actors were spotted together at public events and following a viral moment at the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere.
Mrunal has maintained that she is focused on her career and has described herself as “grounded, glowing, and unshaken.” She has previously referred to Dhanush as a good friend, stating that they share mutual respect and a warm professional rapport. Neither actor has confirmed a romantic relationship.
Recalling Her Past Relationship
Earlier, Mrunal had opened up about her real-life romance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast. She revealed that her ex-boyfriend ended their relationship as he found her “too impulsive” and struggled to accept her acting career. Mrunal said she felt relieved when the relationship ended, as they were fundamentally different in their thinking and upbringing.
Work Front
On the professional front, Mrunal is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, a love story opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, set to release on February 20. Apart from this, she is also part of David Dhawan’s next film alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde.
