When Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal opened the doors to their newly completed Mumbai home this week, it wasn’t just a glimpse into celebrity interiors. It was a portrait of partnership. The actor shared
a series of warm, light-filled images on Instagram, captioned simply, “Feels like home.” The understated emotion captures what the space represents: a labour of love, years in the making, and the first home they built together long before they tied the knot.

A Home Built Before The Wedding Bells
The couple had purchased this property much before their June 2024 wedding, even documenting parts of its construction in Sonakshi Sinha’s YouTube vlog. “We bought our house much before our wedding. It was one of our first investments together as a couple,” they shared. The duo performed a puja about ten days before their nuptials, marking the start of a new chapter both personally and architecturally.
It took nine months for the home to take shape – a space that now stands as a seamless reflection of their shared aesthetics. With its calming white-and-beige palette contrasted by deliberate splashes of colour, the interiors marry her refined sensibility with his laid-back, playful touch.
Design That Mirrors Two Personalities
The design language of the house flows between curves and clean edges, echoing the couple’s distinct yet harmonious personalities. One of the most striking features, quite literally, is a gleaming motorcycle displayed at the centre of their living room. “This was Zaheer’s dream since he was a child,” Sonakshi shared, making it not just a statement piece but a deeply personal one.
The space is peppered with thoughtful design details: a textured stone wall, oversized mirrors in varied shapes, and dragonfly wall art that lends the room a hint of whimsy. Their living area opens into a sunlit balcony complete with a conversation pit, where a few of their wedding pictures were captured. From there, the couple enjoys a sweeping view of the sea and highway – an urban panorama softened by natural light and greenery.
Modern Warmth, Organic Calm
Sonakshi’s attention to design detail continues into the quieter corners of the home. Her washroom is a standout with a modern rustic-meets-organic sanctuary featuring a stacked stone wall and a wood-framed mirror. It’s a tactile, grounding contrast to the otherwise contemporary interiors.
To celebrate Diwali and their housewarming, Sonakshi adorned their home with fresh flowers, infusing the space with warmth and a festive glow. The effect was both lived-in and luxurious- perfectly balancing polish with personality.
About Sonakshi Sinha And Zaheer Iqbal
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal married last year in an intimate ceremony that reflected their long-kept private bond. Since then, the couple has shared occasional glimpses – soft-launch selfies, birthday shout-outs, low-key celebrations, without opening the floodgates on their private life. This Diwali offers a heartfelt window into their world with her in-laws, their new home, and the rhythms of everyday joy, while keeping the focus on what matters to them. For Sonakshi, who has stepped into a new chapter with equal parts grace and intentionality, this celebration reads like a statement of priorities: love, family, and a home that truly feels like one.
