Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, he picked up Ryan Rickelton’s wicket in the first over and dismissed Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav on back-to-back balls of his second over. While Rickelton was caught by Rajat Patidar for 2 runs (from 4 balls), Jitesh Sharma completed Rohit’s catch (he made 22 from 10 balls) and Suryakumar was caught by Virat Kohli for a golden duck in the first slip.

The wicket of Surya helped Bhuvneshwar extend his tally of wickets to 20 in IPL 2026. He is the first bowler to take 20 wickets in this year’s IPL. A total of 20 wickets by Bumrah in this year’s IPL has also helped him become the third pacer and overall fourth bowler in the world to dismiss at least 20 batters in four IPL seasons.
The record of dismissing at least 20 batters in most IPL seasons is held by Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal, who tops the list of bowlers with the most wickets in the IPL, has picked up at least 20 wickets in five different IPL seasons.
