Triptii Dimri is enjoying a remarkable phase in her career. From delivering one of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters with Animal to making history as the first Indian brand ambassador for Victoria’s
Secret, the actor has steadily emerged as one of Bollywood’s most sought-after stars.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Triptii reflected on her journey, navigating fame, overcoming setbacks, staying grounded, and embracing her latest global milestone.
‘It Feels Incredibly Special’
Speaking about becoming the face of Victoria’s Secret, Triptii described the achievement as surreal. She shared that she once admired the iconic lingerie brand from afar, making the opportunity to now represent it on a global stage deeply meaningful. Calling the milestone “incredibly special,” the actor said it reaffirmed her belief in staying authentic and trusting her own journey.
Her family, she revealed, was equally thrilled by the announcement and viewed the partnership as a proud moment, recognising the significance of representing an internationally renowned brand.
Fame Was Never the Goal
Following the massive success of Animal, Triptii found herself being hailed as the country’s latest “national crush.” Despite the overwhelming attention, she told The Indian Express that she views fame as a natural outcome of meaningful work rather than something to chase.
Instead, her focus remains on evolving as an actor, taking on challenging roles, and continuing to grow professionally.
Failures Shaped Her
Triptii admitted that difficult phases in her career inevitably made her question herself.
However, rather than allowing setbacks to define her, she said those experiences strengthened her patience and reinforced her faith in the process. Looking back, she considers those struggles essential to both her personal and professional growth, encouraging others to “keep your head down and work.”
Lessons From Bollywood’s Biggest Stars
Over the years, Triptii has shared screen space with some of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated names, including Ranbir Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
What impressed her most, she shared, wasn’t simply their success but their humility. Observing how grounded they remain despite decades in the industry reminded her that learning never truly stops, regardless of one’s achievements.
Fashion Is About Authenticity
Fashion, according to Triptii, is another form of self-expression.
Rather than following every trend, she prefers wearing pieces that make her feel both comfortable and confident. She described her personal style as effortless, versatile, and authentic, an extension of who she is rather than a carefully curated image.
Balance Over Perfection
When it comes to fitness, Triptii believes consistency matters more than perfection. She enjoys strength training and Pilates but admits her routine often changes depending on her filming schedule. Instead of chasing rigid fitness goals, she focuses on staying active and feeling healthy.
The same balanced philosophy extends to food. While she mostly prefers simple home-cooked meals, she doesn’t believe in restrictive diets. She happily indulges in favourites such as chaat and golgappas whenever cravings strike, while her ultimate comfort meal remains Chainsu Bhaat, a nostalgic dish from her childhood.
Starting Every Day Slowly
Away from the cameras, Triptii prefers beginning her mornings quietly. Before reaching for her phone, she likes to spend a few peaceful moments with herself, allowing her to feel centred before the demands of the day begin.
Looking Back Without Regret
Reflecting on the early years of her career, Triptii admitted she would probably trust herself more if she were starting today.
Even so, she believes every success, setback, and moment of uncertainty has contributed to shaping the person she has become.
While she considers acting her true calling, the actor also revealed that had she pursued a different profession, it would likely have involved working with animals, something she has always loved.
As her career continues to reach new heights, Triptii’s outlook remains refreshingly grounded: focus on the craft, embrace every lesson, and let success follow naturally.
