Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s film Param Sundari is maintaining a steady run at the box office through the weekdays. Produced by Maddock Films, the movie’s box office potential has been somewhat
limited by mixed audience reactions. While it opened strong, weekday collections registered only a slight dip, showing stable momentum. So far, the film has grossed over Rs 37 crore and is expected to perform well in its second weekend.
According to early estimates by sacnilk, Param Sundari collected Rs 2.85 crore on its sixth day (Wednesday). This marks a fall from day 5, when the film earned Rs 4.25 crore, and day 4, which brought in Rs 3.25 crore. With this, the total box office collection of the film now stands at approximately Rs 37.10 crore.
Param Sundari: Plot And Cast
Param Sundari follows Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a wealthy Delhi boy who invests his father’s money in new start-ups. His ambition draws him to Soulmates, an AI-powered matchmaking service. The app connects him with Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a traditional girl from Kerala who operates a family homestay with her uncle, a Kalari Payattu expert.
As Param’s metropolitan lifestyle clashes with Sundari’s traditional society, their trip is fraught with humour, cultural disputes, and emotions. What begins as an app experiment gradually transforms into something substantial. The film also includes Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Inayat Verma in important parts. While Sidharth and Janhvi’s performances have been praised for their chemistry, critics and moviegoers have had mixed reactions to the film’s predictable plot.
Param Sundari To Face Stiff Competition
With the weekend approaching, Param Sundari is expected to regain momentum at the box office and cross new milestones in the coming days. However, its run will face tough competition from a slate of fresh releases, including Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files. To sustain its success, Param Sundari will have to stand out against these heavy hitters.
