In a shocking video from Mumbai’s Vikhroli, several schoolgirls can be seen climbing down a closed Foot Over Bridge (FOB). The video is going viral on social media, triggering debate over civic sense.
The video shows the dilapidated condition of the FOB.
Just beneath the pedestrian bridge, a very busy road with heavy vehicles can be seen. The bridge’s condition shows that it is undergoing repair work. The girls bypassed the metal barricades to cross the bridge.
One of the girls can be seen on the outer railing, clinging to the outer railing of the bridge.

The video has sparked outrage on social media and the netizens slammed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for not completing the infrastructure work.
One of the social media users shared the video on X and captioned, “Eastern Express highway near Vikhroli, foot over bridge near Praveen Hotel. Schoolchildren and citizens are walking with their lives in their hands on the dilapidated and extremely dangerous bridge. When will the municipal administration and leaders pay attention?”
Another user stated, “Due to incomplete work, a serious question has arisen regarding the safety of children. Due to the incomplete work on the overhead walkway in the eastern part of Vikhroli, locals are facing significant inconvenience. Schoolchildren are seen descending from the dangerous side outside the walkway.”
