Salman Khan is all set to bring the story of Battle of Galwan to life on the big screen, and fans are already excited. The actor has been shooting for the film since September 2025, starting in the chilly
landscapes of Ladakh. Now, the team has moved to Mumbai, where the next phase of filming began on October 10.
The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is inspired by the 2020 military clash between India and China in the Galwan Valley. Salman is reportedly working on one of the most important parts of the movie which is a patriotic song sequence. This scene is said to capture the emotions, struggles, and sacrifices of soldiers. Fans can expect an intense and heartfelt performance from the superstar.
According to a production insider speaking to Mid-Day, Salman is filming a significant song sequence described as a “rousing military anthem with a deep emotional core.” The track is reportedly patriotic in tone rather than a celebratory number.
“The mood is patriotic and the song reflects the pride, sacrifice, and pain of the soldiers. Salman and the director were clear that it should feel organic to the story,” the source said.
The song is said to feature more than 60 background artistes, with emphasis on the emotional journey of Salman’s character rather than dance choreography. Filming for this sequence is expected to continue throughout the week.
Battle of Galwan draws inspiration from the 2020 military clash between India and China in the Galwan Valley. The film also features Chitrangda Singh in a key role alongside Salman Khan.
In a prior interview with India Today, Salman Khan shared insights about his preparation for the film: “It’s slow I’m not feeling it yet. But I will especially I feel the cold water, that’s for sure – I am definitely feeling it since shooting in Ladakh.”
