Actors Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush have left fans excited after sparking dating rumours. While neither Mrunal nor Dhanush has addressed these speculations, the rumour keeps churning due to the stars’ activities
and frequent sightings. Now, reports claim that things are getting serious between the two, and Dhanush has likely introduced Mrunal to his family.
As per ETimes, Mrunal Thakur has followed Dhanush’s two elder sisters, Dr Karthika Karthik and Vimala Geetha, on Instagram. The report suggests that this happened right around the news of their alleged romance broke out. Dhanush’s sisters have also started following Mrunal on the social site.
A Pinkvilla report suggests that this Instagram activity could be a hint that Dhanush has introduced Mrunal to his family already. However, it should be noted that this is only speculation, which is yet to be confirmed.
However, a well-placed source exclusively told News18 Showsha, “Yes, it’s true that they are dating. But it’s too new and they’ve no plans of making their relationship official before the public or the media. At the same time, they’re unfazed about going out and about and being spotted. Friends are truly rooting for them as they’re quite similar and compatible when it comes to their values, choices and thoughts.”
The speculations about Mrunal and Dhanush dating gained momentum after the actors were seen together at the Son of Sardaar 2 screening. Before this, Mrunal’s presence at the wrap party of Dhanush’s upcoming Hindi film, Tere Ishq Mein, also raised eyebrows.
As per an unconfirmed post on Reddit, the duo even has a joint playlist on Spotify. A source also told us that Mrunal and Dhanush’s closeness and bond caught the eyes of onlookers even during the premiere of Kajol’s last theatrical release, Maa, in June in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, neither Mrunal nor Dhanush has confirmed or denied the speculation. Mrunal has never publicly spoken about any of her relationships. As for Dhanush, he was previously married to Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth for 18 years before they announced their separation in 2022. The former couple met on the set of his 2003 film, Kadhal Kondaen. They share two sons – Yatra and Linga.
