Border 2 is making fans excited as the makers reveal new updates from time to time. After teasing fans with several character posters, the team has now released the film’s trailer. Since the trailer launch,
the cast and crew have been busy promoting the film and have received positive responses from fans. Recently, Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty appeared together at a special event. Varun later shared a photo of the three actors posing together and their looks caught attention online.
Fans were happy to see the trio sharing the frame and praised their style and screen presence. The moment felt special, as Ahan’s father, Suniel Shetty, was part of the first Border film. There are also talks about actors from the original movie making short appearances in Border 2. While nothing has been officially announced yet, these rumours have only increased the buzz around the film.
Varun Dhawan Shares New Photo From Border 2 Event
In the latest photo shared on Varun Dhawan’s Instagram story, the three actors were seen in charming looks. Varun looked sharp in a classic formal outfit, while Sunny Deol carried a strong and familiar presence in his army uniform. Ahan Shetty stood out with his own stylish and different look. In the picture, all three actors looked confident and happy with the positive response from fans to the film’s trailer.
Varun Dhawan And Ahan Shetty Open Up About Feeling NervousDuring an earlier event, Varun Dhawan shared that he felt nervous while performing scenes with Sunny Deol in Border 2. Ahan Shetty also admitted that he felt the same pressure while working alongside the senior actor. He further revealed that his father, Suniel Shetty, gave him advice to stay calm, focus on his work and respect the moment while sharing screen space with such an experienced star.
As per Cinema Express, Varun said, “After many years, I’m feeling very nervous and emotional. An actor always pins his hopes on a film, and thinks that, ‘I hope people like the work that I’ve done’. For me, the biggest thing was to work with Sunny Deol and I’m genuinely thankful to him for allowing us to work alongside him. When I did my first scene with him and he took the name of my character, I got nervous and told Anurag, ‘He is sounding like Sunny Deol,’ and he laughed about it. He has been my hero as a child and I had seen Border in Chandan theatre multiple times. To see him in front of me was a big thing. The child in me was very happy.”
Ahan Shetty added, “The first one or two days, I was petrified on set, my hands were shivering to be part of such a big film. My first film, Tadap came in 2021 so it was a long gap for me, to be able to just come on set with Varun, Sunny sir and learn everything, to have the support of my producers and director was a blessing in disguise.”
Revealing his father’s advice, Ahaan said, “He just said, ‘Be honest with your role, be honest with your character and just have fun’. I was constantly told, ‘Feel the collar’. We as civilians are so lucky that they are sacrificing their lives for us, we are alive because of them. It’s a difficult ‘maahaul’ (atmosphere), given the neighbours we’ve and things that keep happening, we’re so lucky that we’ve armed forces to keep us safe.”
Other than Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, Border 2 also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana and Anya Singh. The movie is scheduled to release on January 22, 2026.
