Ever since Netflix unveiled the first look of Aryan’s show on August 17, fans have been swooning over his sharp looks and magnetic screen presence. What made the moment even more special was Shah Rukh Khan’s own appearance in the promo, which doubled the excitement for fans. However, with this grand launch, Aryan has made one thing absolutely clear: he is more inclined towards direction and storytelling than stepping in front of the camera as an actor. Interestingly, this is not a sudden decision. Shah Rukh himself had revealed Aryan’s conscious choice years ago in an interview back in 2019.

A video clip from SRK’s 2019 interview has resurfaced and is now going viral again in the wake of Aryan’s big announcement. In the interaction, Shah Rukh Khan had shared that his son does not wish to act but rather focus on filmmaking. He said, “My son does not want to act, he wants to make films. He writes a bit, and he writes quite well. He’s learning to be a film director or writer. Which again is another two and half years, then he wants to intern and perhaps make a film.”
The ever-witty superstar had also added with a smile, “He is my setup for the future. When no big director wants to work with me, I’ll bring my own big director.” This old statement from SRK has now found fresh relevance as Aryan prepares to step into the director’s chair for his much-awaited series.

First Look Of Ba***ds of Bollywood
The buzz around Aryan’s debut touched a new high when Netflix dropped the first look on August 17. In the video, Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan both make appearances, although they do not share the frame together. King Khan is seen saying “Picture to saalon se baaki hain,” after which Aryan takes over separately and completes the sentence with, “Lekin show ab shuru hoga.”
Netflix further teased audiences by writing, “Filmy doesn’t fall far from the tree…Preview abhi baaki hai mere dost! The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview is out tomorrow.”
