Kajol, Rani: 90s Fashion Queens in Gold-White

Cousins Rani Mukerji and Kajol recently reunited in Mumbai for a good cause. The two actors attended a function for the Bhamla Foundation’s Empower to Educate – Supergirls of Tomorrow. Joined by Amruta

Fadnavis, they showed their support for this scholarship programme that is dedicated to supporting young girls from BMC schools through academic assistance and mentorship.

The 90s actors, who starred together in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, also showed exactly why they are the reigning fashion queens. The two showed up at the Apostolic Carmel High School for the Bhamla Foundation event in ethnic white and gold looks that were elegant and classy.

They shared a sweet moment as the two hugged and posed for the paparazzi.

Kajol In Gold And Cream Co-ord Set

Kajol wore the Sehmat kurta and pant set by the brand Lajjooc. The cream-coloured long-sleeved kaftan kurta featured delicate gold work around the neck. Adding to the grandeur of the co-ord set was the thick white and gold border that ran along the hemline.

With a price tag of Rs 94,900, Kajol’s kaftan was flowy yet comfortable. She was styled by stylist Radhika Mehra. She paired the kurta with white, straight-legged satin pants with gold embroidery and gold pointed-toe, heeled shoes.

Unfortunately for Kajol, she had an awkward moment earlier that day when she lost her balance because of the heels. However, she was quick to recover and continued walking forward with confidence. She even smiled and greeted everyone warmly.

Not one to be outdone, even though it is her cousin sister, Rani Mukerji, wore an off-white Sabyasachi kurta set. It features wide-legged pants with floral motifs that are carried over to the matching long-line kurta. She wore a sheer white dupatta with burnished gold borders to add some visual depth to the look.

She styled the look with oversized gold wire frames and a few rings. Rani wore her hair straight with a few soft curls at the end.
