Heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Saturday, leaving several areas waterlogged. The downpour also affected flight operations, with more than 90 flights being delayed and four cancelled.
Waterlogging was witnessed
on Mathura Road following, and also at Bharat Mandapam’s Gate no. 7 after light rain in the early hours of Saturday.

The IMD has predicted “thunderstorm with rain” for Thursday. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature is expected to be recorded at 25 degrees Celsius.

Red And Yellow Alert Issued
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in parts of Delhi, including in North Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, South.
The weather department has also issued Yellow alert for some places, including Ghaziabad, parts of east Delhi, and Noida for today, August 9.
IndiGo Issues Travel Advisory
IndiGo issued a travel advisory asking its passengers to take an alternate route in case they find a road blocked due to rain.
“Heads up, #Delhi travellers! Due to today’s downpour, several roads across Delhi are currently blocked or experiencing slow movement. Please allow extra time, take an alternate route if possible, and check your flight status on our website or app before leaving for the airport,” it said on X.
“Our teams are working to keep things on track and support your journey. Thank you for continued trust and patience,” it added.
Rain Alert For Other Regions
Besides Delhi, the weather department has also issued a fresh warning of continued rainfall activity in Himachal Pradesh, with heavy rain expected in many parts of the state over the next few days.
An orange alert is in place for August 11 and 12 in three districts and a Yellow Alert for the remaining districts.
