Bollywood is gearing up for yet another cinematic spectacle featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR as they prepare to clash in the highly anticipated action-thriller War 2. With the film deep into production,
Hrithik has opened up about his experience working alongside the superstar. Hrithik Roshan couldn’t stop praising his co-star Jr NTR, calling him “incredible” and “a true champ”. The two are set to share the screen for the first time in War 2.
“NTR is incredible, and a true champ,” Hrithik said. “He’s the first co-star I’ve worked with who doesn’t need rehearsals. He has every step inside him already. That amazed me completely. Working on the dance-off with NTR was an extraordinary experience, and I learned a lot from him, which I’ll now incorporate,” the actor said.
The two megastars have been engaging in light-hearted social media banter over whose name should appear first in their upcoming dance face-off number. The friendly rivalry spilt onto X (formerly Twitter), with both actors vying for billing supremacy in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest song sequences in Bollywood history.
Despite the playful sparring, Hrithik has only had glowing things to say about his co-star. “He’s my favourite co-star. Amazing and brilliant,” the Fighter star remarked, signalling a deep respect and chemistry that’s bound to electrify the screen.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced under the YRF Spy Universe banner, War 2 is being touted as 2025’s biggest film. NTR makes his massive Bollywood debut in a never-seen-before avatar. Reports suggest he brings an unpredictable, powerful energy to the role, adding an entirely new dynamic to the franchise.
The film has been shot across Salamanca, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, and Italy, with production starting back in October 2023. From leaked on-set images to mounting speculation about its high-octane action set pieces, War 2 is shaping up to be a global cinematic event. Meanwhile, North American advance bookings for War 2 are now open, and early numbers suggest a stellar start.
