Jaipur, Aug 3 (PTI) Rajasthan witnessed light to moderate rainfall at several places in eastern parts and scattered light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms in western areas during the past
24 hours ending Monday morning, the Meteorological Department said.
Pali district recorded heavy to very heavy rainfall, with Jaitaran area of the district recording the highest of 161 cm, the Met Department said.
The monsoon trough is likely to shift northwards from Monday, resulting in a decline in rainfall activity over districts of the Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota divisions, it added.
However, light to moderate rainfall activity is likely at some places in the Bikaner division, Shekhawati region, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions between August 3 and 5.
The rainfall activity is expected to vary across different parts of the state during the period. PTI SDA APL APL
