India opener Smriti Mandhana has extended her lead at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings, with leading players at the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup making gains in the latest rankings
update. Mandhana has scored consecutive half-centuries at the World Cup, including a stylish innings of 88 against England in Indore, despite India’s narrow loss. This performance boosted her overall rating and increased her lead as the No. 1-ranked ODI batter to 83 rating points, with England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt her closest challenger, having scored 191 runs in the tournament.
Mandhana has been in exceptional form lately, earning the title of ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025 for her performances in the ODI series against Australia before the World Cup. Australia skipper Alyssa Healy has moved up one place to equal third overall, following consecutive centuries at the World Cup. South African Tazmin Brits also made progress, climbing one spot to ninth place due to her strong batting performances.

Outside the top 10, there have been significant movements: India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has risen three places to 15th, Australia opener Phoebe Litchfield has moved up five spots to 17th, and England veteran Heather Knight has climbed 15 places to 18th, all rewarded for their strong form with the bat at the World Cup.
What About Bowlers?
In the ODI bowlers’ rankings, England spinner Sophie Ecclestone maintains a healthy lead at the top. Meanwhile, India’s Deepti Sharma has risen three spots to third overall after taking 13 wickets from five matches at the World Cup. Australia spinner Alana King has improved two places to seventh overall, while Pakistan’s Nashra Sundhu (up three spots to 11th), Sadia Iqbal (up five places to equal 14th), and Fatima Sana (up five places to 24th) have also been rewarded for their performances.
And All-Rounders?
Additionally, Fatima Sana has made progress on the list for ODI all-rounders, headed by Australia’s Ash Gardner, climbing five places to 15th. Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu has gained one place to move up to seventh.
