The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has sparked a fresh mystery among fans, with many trying to identify the actor seen portraying Lord Vishnu in this film. While Ranbir Kapoor is already confirmed
to play Lord Ram and Parashurama in the film, the brief glimpse of Vishnu in the trailer has left social media users divided over who appears in the role.
Saurabh Raaj Jain Or Mahesh Babu: Who Plays Vishnu?
Some viewers believe the actor could be Saurabh Raaj Jain, who is widely recognised for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in the television series Mahabharat. His previous association with a mythological character has led several fans to draw a visual comparison between him and the figure seen in the Ramayana trailer.
However, another section of social media users also believe the actor could be Mahesh Babu. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu is currently working for SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, a film that also draws from Indian mythology and features the actor as Lord Rama in a sequence inspired by the Ramayana.

Is Ranbir Kapoor Playing Lord Vishnu Too?
Interestingly, there is another possibility that has added to the confusion. Ranbir Kapoor has previously confirmed that he plays multiple roles in Ramayana, including Lord Ram and Parashurama. In an earlier interaction, the actor explained that both Ram and Parashurama are avatars of Lord Vishnu. Now, fan believe that Ranbir could appear as Lord Vishnu himself. While this has not been clearly established by the trailer, fans are now speculating if Ranbir will essay the role of Vishnu as well in the film.
What Happens In Ramayana Trailer?
The trailer opens with Yash’s Ravana proclaiming himself the ruler of all three worlds. As he unleashes chaos and destruction, Lord Vishnu takes the avatar of Ram to restore balance and protect the earth. The trailer then introduces Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram, who battles demons and safeguards his people before growing up and marrying Sita.
However, Ram and Sita’s life takes a dramatic turn when he is sentenced to 14 years of vanvaas. Sita, played by Sai Pallavi, and Lakshman, portrayed by Ravie Dubey, choose to accompany him into exile. What follows is the abduction of Sita by Ravana and the epic battle that ensues, setting the stage for one of the greatest confrontations between good and evil.
