Some films slow down after the first big rush. Dhurandhar clearly did not get that memo. Nearly four weeks into its theatrical run, the Ranveer Singh-led spy action thriller is still pulling crowds and rewriting
box office charts, turning consistency into its biggest weapon. Starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar has now crossed Rs 668 crore net in India, placing it firmly among the highest-earning Indian films of all time. Day 23 numbers keep momentum strong According to Sacnilk.com, Dhurandhar added Rs 20.50 crore net on day 23, based on early estimates. The film had already collected Rs 15 crore on day 22, showing no signs of a sharp weekday drop. Its third-week total stands at a solid Rs 172 crore, an impressive figure for a film already deep into its run. On Saturday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 37.21 percent, underlining strong audience interest even after nearly a month in theatres. A new milestone in the record books With its current total at Rs 668 crore, Dhurandhar has officially overtaken Kalki 2898 AD, which had earned Rs 646.31 crore in India. This push has secured Dhurandhar a place in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films ever. The achievement also strengthens its position as one of the biggest box office successes of 2025, driven by steady footfalls rather than just opening-week hype. Joining Bollywood’s elite Rs 500 crore club By crossing the Rs 600 crore mark, Dhurandhar now sits comfortably among Hindi cinema’s biggest earners. The growing Rs 500 crore-plus club includes titles like Animal at Rs 553 crore, Pathaan at Rs 543 crore and Gadar 2 at Rs 525 crore. Pathaan had earlier broken records by becoming the first Hindi film to cross Rs 500 crore net in India, ending Dangal’s long-standing seven-year reign at the top with Rs 387 crore. What’s next for the franchise The success story is far from over. The makers have already locked in the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19 next year. The espionage thriller is being planned as a grand Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi 2026 release. The sequel will roll out in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, marking a five-language pan-India and global release strategy.
Set in Pakistan, Dhurandhar follows an Indian spy who infiltrates the Lyari gangs. Directed by Aditya Dhar and based on true incidents, the story unfolds in the early 2000s. The cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan, alongside Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
