A video from an Indian Railways train unveiled the most shocking scenes as this group of pantry suppliers was spotted beating a passenger on board. The clip left people wondering if these were “pantry
suppliers or goons” that entered the train after they hurled a series of abuse towards this passenger and slammed him mercilessly.
The video was allegedly from the Grand Trunk Express, which takes travellers from Chennai to New Delhi daily. “Two or three pantry suppliers are brutally beating a young man. This is completely unacceptable. Trains should be a safe space for passengers. Indian Railways must ensure the safety, dignity, and accountability of every passenger,” wrote a person sharing the video on X, alarmed by the scenes inside the train.

People Urge Railways Minister To Intervene
The uproar over the beating of a man inside the inter-state train saw many tag India’s Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw. Many users urged the minister to intervene and take strict action against the offenders.
“We hope that Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji will take strict action against such thugs. The railway should be a safe and respectable place, not an atmosphere of fear. Safety of all passengers first!” commented a person.
Someone else said, “Never before had I seen such a sight in a train; nowadays, the safety conditions inside trains are getting worse and worse.”
“There are thousands of such videos flooding social media—what do you think, will any action be taken?” wondered another individual.
IRCTC Clarifies What Happened
As the video created a shockwave online, it also came to the notice of the official handle of the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The IRCTC clarified the details behind the ugly scenes from the Grand Trunk Express after having undergone an enquiry.
The matter has been inquired upon and it was found that it is a case of an altercation with an unauthorized vendor and doesn't involve any passenger. The matter is being further dealt by concerned authorities.

In its response, the IRCTC confirmed that this team of pantry suppliers had gotten into a physical altercation with a man suspected to be an illegal vendor, who had entered the train.
“The matter has been inquired upon and it was found that it is a case of an altercation with an unauthorised vendor and doesn’t involve any passenger. The matter is being further dealt with by the concerned authorities,” the official body said.
The video still left people seriously worried for the safety of the passengers inside, as tempers flared and resulted in a horrible bout between the pantry suppliers and the man suspected to be an unauthorised vendor.
