Mohammed Siraj breached Shai Hope’s defence on the fifth ball of the 84th over to pick his second wicket of the second innings in the ongoing second Test against the West Indies in Delhi. The dismissal
of Hope, who made 103 runs from 214 balls for the Roston Chase-led side, helped Siraj take his tally of wickets to 37 in Test matches this year.
He now tops the list of bowlers with the most Test wickets in 2025. Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani is second on the list with 36 dismissals in nine matches, whereas Siraj picked his 37th wicket in the 15th innings of the eighth Test.
In 2025, Siraj has played five Tests against England and dismissed 23 batters. In the first Test against the West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, he picked up four wickets in the first innings and three in the second.
