This is not the first time that Shakira has come to India for a concert. In fact, she has already performed live in Mumbai in 2007 as part of her Oral Fixation tour, and this was her first and only concert in India till now. It was a night to remember, as her show was a cultural crossover between Latin pop energy and Indian rhythm.
Here are all the details you need to know about Shakira’s India concerts:
The Grammy-winning and Guinness World Record–holding Colombian singer and dancer will perform at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on April 10 and at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Stadium on April 15.
This will be her first performance in the country in almost two decades. Shakira said in a statement, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I’m excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi.” A philanthropist in her own right with her Barefoot Foundation, she will be coming to the country as part of non-profit Feeding India’s live music initiative with District by Zomato. Shakira also said this was “about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive.”

Shakira’s India tour announcement underscores the country’s growing status as a hotspot for legendary acts, joining the ranks of artists like Ye, who also recently announced a standalone show in Delhi.
