Shah Rukh Khan at MET Gala 2025
2025 saw global superstar Shah Rukh Khan make his MET Gala debut, looking sharp in Sabyasachi couture and high jewellery. Tailored to match King Khan’s aura, the ensemble perfectly matched the dress code theme – Tailored for You, which resonated with the exhibition theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Shah Rukh’s all-black ensemble featured a floor-length, elongated coat in Tasmanian superfine wool with monogrammed, Japanese horn buttons. The coat was hand canvassed, single-breasted with a peak collar and wide lapels. Shah Rukh paired it with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. Shah Rukh completed the bespoke style with a pleated satin kamarbandh.
The highlight of Shah Rukh’s iconic appearance was the iconic K and diamond-studded SRK pendant that caught everyone’s attention. Shah Rukh completed his showstopper look with a Bengal Tiger Head cane crafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds.

Aneet Padda’s Bejewelled Runway Debut
It has been Aneet Padda‘s year in the world of cinema, beauty and fashion. From garnering accolades for her acting prowess in her film Saiyaara to becoming the Gen Z face of Lakme, Aneet Padda won big time in 2025.
For her grand runway debut, Aneet Padda made a grand runway debut at the House of Lakmē Grand Finale in New Delhi. Inspired by the grace of Indian drapes, Aneet Padda turned muse for couturier Tarun Tahiliani. Aneet’s showstopper ensemble featured a saree-inspired silhouette with structured corsetry. Aneet celebrated 25 years of Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI with craft, confidence and timeless allure.

Manish Malhotra’s Royal MET Gala Debut
The iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art steps were graced by Asia’s leading fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. Manish made a royal entrance dressed in a sculptural sherwani layered with a sharply tailored blazer and a floor-sweeping cape. Crafted in velvet, the ensemble featured tonal cord work, glass bead accents, and gilded detailing enhanced with a cluster of brooches from his High Jewellery line. Rooted in Indian sensibility yet shaped in dialogue with global fashion, Manish Malhotra’s design narrative was the perfect example of history and haute couture.

Alia Bhatt At The 78th Cannes Film Festival
Alia Bhatt’s first-ever Cannes moment had two iconic looks that received a lot of love on the internet. Alia Bhatt made her red carpet debut with a Schiaparelli creation featuring a long off-shoulder bustier dress in ecru chantilly lace embroidered with organza and enamel flowers with ruffles.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Alia’s second look was not only iconic but also a hit on social media. Representing L’Oréal Paris at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Alia wore a custom saree-inspired ensemble designed by Gucci. The contemporary silhouette featured a bralette, skirt and a drape which was enhanced with the brand’s logo embedded into the criss-cross pattern of the ensemble.
