The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a yellow alert for poor visibility, warning of continued disturbances over the next few days.
According to the weather body, maximum and minimum temperatures in the national capital are likely to remain around 20 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Partly cloudy conditions are likely throughout the day, with early-morning fog expected to continue, a weather official said, as quoted by India Today.
Coldest February In Four Years
On Monday, February 1, Delhi-NCR recorded its coldest February in four years, with a thick layer of fog enveloping the city and disrupting visibility in many regions.
Despite the sunlight peeking out later in the day, cloudy skies persisted across the city, offering little respite from the freezing temperatures.
Meanwhile, the air quality remained a concern for Delhiites, as the city recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 254 at 7 A.M. on Tuesday, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The Air Quality Early Warning System has predicted that pollution levels are likely to remain ‘poor’ till Wednesday and may improve to ‘moderate’ levels from Thursday.
