It’s not always the faces on screen that make a show unforgettable… sometimes, the real magic happens behind the camera. And that’s exactly what the spotlight was on at this year’s BAFTA Television Craft
Awards 2026, which celebrated the people who quietly shape some of the biggest shows we watch.
Held at The Brewery in London and hosted by comedian Greg Davies, the 27th edition of the awards recognised excellence across writing, direction, editing, and more. Several high-profile titles dominated the evening, with Adolescence and The Celebrity Traitors emerging as the top winners, taking home two awards each. Other notable names among the winners included Andor, Amadeus, Big Boys, and Reunion.
The ceremony also highlighted fresh talent. Director Olaide Sadiq was recognised for Grenfell: Uncovered, while writer Janice Okoh was honoured for Just Act Normal. In addition, Simone Pennant received a special BAFTA award for her contribution.

Adolescence Continues Its Winning Streak
Adolescence has been on a remarkable run over the past year. At the Primetime Emmy Awards 2025, the series picked up eight wins, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The show, known for its one-take filming style, featured Owen Cooper, who became the youngest winner for best male actor.
The series also earned recognition for Stephen Graham and director Philip Barantini.
Earlier this year, the show added another milestone at the Golden Globe Awards 2026. Cooper won Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series, becoming the youngest recipient in that category. He edged out nominees including Billy Crudup, Jason Isaacs, and Walton Goggins.
