praised the Mohit Suri directorial on social media after watching the film. Earlier, Mohit Suri revealed that Alia not only praised the film on Instagram, but she also personally dialled Ahaan and Aneet, and congratulated them. Now, Aneet has also spoken about the same, revealing that Alia called her and spent 10 minutes gushing over Saiyaara!
Alia Bhatt Gushed Over Ahaan Panday And Aneet Padda Starrer Saiyaara
In an interview with Cosmopolitan India, Aneet Padda called Alia Bhatt one of her idols, revealing that she not only took the initiative to praise Saiyaara on Instagram, but also ‘gushed’ about the film for 10 minutes on a phone call with her. It was a fangirl moment for Aneet, and the interaction meant a lot to her as she idolises Alia. “I would talk to myself in the bathroom mirror (when I was young) and practice all the (Bhatt’s) monologues and think ‘how can I do it?’, and then it would be ‘how can I do it my way?’” said Aneet.
When Mohit Suri Revealed Ranbir Kapoor And Alia’s Reaction To Saiyaara
Earlier, in a conversation with NDTV, Mohit Suri was asked about Alia Bhatt’s reaction after Saiyaara. He replied, “Yes, she went to watch it in the theatre. I was inviting her to a trial screening, but she said no, she would watch it in the theatre. After watching it in the theatre, she praised it a lot. She took the numbers of both actors and spoke to them.”
“She also showed the film to Ranbir. Alia has been supporting this film from the beginning because she felt it carries the same emotional depth that I often infuse in my own films. She has been very supportive throughout my career, actually,” said Mohit Suri. He also said that Ranbir loved Saiyaara, and he dialled him to personally praise the film. “He said, ‘You still have to make many films. For now, take it easy. Enjoy’,” revealed Mohit Suri.
Alia Bhatt’s Praise For Saiyaara
On July 19, a day after Saiyaara’s theatrical release, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram to share her review of the film. She wrote, “It’s safe to say…two beautiful, magical STARS are born @aneetpadda_ @ahaanpandayy — I don’t remember the last time I looked at two actors with such awe. With stars in my eyes… watching the stars in yours. You both shine with such individuality, such honesty — I could watch you again, and again, and again. (And let’s be honest… I probably will.) I’ve already gushed to you both individually — but clearly, once was not enough. So here I am. Gushing. Again.”
She further added, “To the captain of this very wonderful ship @mohitsuri — what a film. What feeling. What music!!!!!!!! You made me feel things that only the movies can make you feel. Saiyaara is full of heart, full of soul, full of something that just stays with you… in the best way. To the entire team, to @yrf — congratulations on this beautiful creation. This isn’t just a film. It’s a moment. And I’m so glad I got to feel it.”
