Actor, singer, and politician Manoj Tiwari has been campaigning for over 12 years now, and anyone who knows him can never forget a hilarious and viral moment of his career when a confused Tiwari was seen
asking his driver to head in the opposite direction during a road show.
When Tiwari appeared as a guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, Kapil Sharma had to talk about that moment. While discussing it, Kapil also showed the viral video clip from the incident and asked, “Did you sit in the opposition’s car or what?”
To which he replied, “This is a political game. It was the last day of my election campaign. I wanted to end the road show. He (the driver) started driving away in the opposite direction.”
Manoj Tiwari recalled that after completing his road show, he needed to meet an opposition member for an important discussion. However, due to the driver’s poor sense of direction, the end of Tiwari’s road show was further delayed. “That is why I was scolding my driver and asking him to turn around. I was stressed that people would be waiting for me. So, I wanted to complete all the road shows assigned to me,” he continued.
This week’s episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show did not begin like a regular celebrity chat. The moment Bhojpuri stars Manoj Tiwari, Pawan Singh, and Dinesh Lal Yadav walked onto the stage, the energy in the studio shifted completely.
The conversation flowed naturally, with quick jokes and an audience that stayed engaged. The episode soon settled into a comfortable pace, led by shared humour and personal stories. The trio also spoke about their journeys, briefly touching on their early days and how their lives changed over time. While the mood stayed light, a few moments were more reflective.
The Bhojpuri special stood out not because of big reveals, but because of how naturally the guests connected with the format. Between jokes, music, and personal stories, the episode leaned more on lived experiences than spectacle.
