Winter is gradually bidding farewell to the City of Pearls, and early signs of summer are beginning to show. According to the latest bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad
is likely to experience predominantly dry weather on Monday.
Officials have noted a steady rise in heat levels across the city and its surrounding regions over the past few days. Today, the maximum temperature in Hyderabad is expected to touch 29°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 17°C.
Heat intensity will be most noticeable during the daytime, especially between 11 am and 4 pm, when direct sunlight is strongest. However, during the night and early morning hours, the weather is expected to turn slightly cooler, offering some relief to residents.
Weather Conditions
During the day, the sky will remain completely clear and sunny, with no cloud cover, allowing direct sunlight to reach the ground. By night, there is a possibility of partly cloudy conditions developing over the city.
Light winds are expected to blow from the eastern direction at a speed of around 6 miles per hour (approximately 10 kmph). Due to relatively low wind speed, the heat may feel slightly uncomfortable during peak afternoon hours.
Humidity levels are expected to remain low, at around 27%, indicating dry atmospheric conditions. The chances of rainfall on Monday are minimal, estimated at only 5% to 10%.
UV Index And Safety Measures
The UV Index on Monday is likely to be around 7, which falls under the ‘High’ category. This means prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can potentially lead to fatigue, sunburn, or other skin-related issues. Experts advise residents to take adequate precautions, especially during midday hours.
Carry an umbrella or wear a cap when stepping outdoors during the day.
Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and maintain adequate hydration levels.
Opt for loose-fitting, light-coloured cotton clothing to stay comfortable in the heat.
Travel Advisory
There is a possibility of light fog during early morning hours in the outskirts of the city. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously and maintain safe speeds during this time. Within the city, considering traffic congestion and rising heat levels, it is advisable to limit travel during afternoon hours as much as possible.
Overall, Hyderabad is set to experience warm daytime conditions accompanied by pleasant and cooler weather at night on Monday. As this period marks a transition from winter to summer, residents are advised to remain alert and take necessary health precautions to cope with changing weather conditions.
