Director Lakshmipriya Devi’s film ‘Boong’, starring Gugun Kipgen, has taken India to the global stage as it became the first Indian film to win the prestigious BAFTA award in the Best Children’s and Family
Film category. It is produced by Excel Entertainment, Chalkboard Entertainment and Suitable Pictures. A number of Bollywood celebrities expressed their joy over this achievement, and congratulated Lakshmipriya Devi. Now, Priyanka Chopra has also shared a note, praising the entire team of the film.
Priyanka Chopra Lauds The Team Of Boong
Soon after Boong’s BAFTA win was announced, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram stories and tagged the film’s team. “Congratulations! Incredible work,” she wrote. In another story, she added that films like these deserve to be celebrated. “Stories like these deserve to be seen, celebrated and remembered. Congratulations Lakshmipriya Devi and the entire team of Boong on this incredible BAFTA win,” she wrote.

About Boong
Set in Manipur, the film tells a touching story about family and hope. It follows a young boy named Boong, played by Gugun Kipgen, who dreams of reuniting his family. Raised by his single mother Mandakini, portrayed by Bala Hijam Ningthoujam, Boong sets out on a journey with his best friend to find his missing father. The film beautifully captures innocence, emotions, and the strong bond between a mother and her child.
