NTA has issued exam-day guidelines and dress code for NEET UG 2026 re-exam set to be conducted on Sunday, June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. As per the guideline, students must carry essential documents, including
their original admit card with photographs affixed, an extra passport-size photo, and a valid government-issued photo ID such as a passport or Aadhaar card. Without these, entry will not be permitted.
Candidates are allowed to carry transparent water bottles and can keep their admit cards in transparent pouches for protection. Full-sleeve or woollen clothing is permitted if necessary, but extra time should be kept in mind for security checks.
What Not To Carry
Strict rules have been laid down regarding prohibited items. Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or earphones. Stationery items, wallets, handbags, belts, caps, and metal objects like heavy jewellery or large buckles are also banned. Security checks will be conducted using handheld metal detectors.
Dress Code
The dress code requires candidates to wear simple, light clothing without large buttons or heavy designs. Footwear should be basic, such as slippers or low-heeled sandals. High heels, thick-soled shoes, or fancy footwear are not permitted and may lead to additional checks. Items of faith, including turbans or hijabs, are allowed, but candidates wearing them must arrive early for proper frisking.
Biometric Verification
Enhanced security measures will include mandatory frisking and biometric verification before entry. In case biometric verification cannot be completed due to technical or physical reasons, candidates will still be allowed to appear for the exam after submitting a written undertaking at the centre.
Only candidates will be allowed inside the examination centre, and they are advised not to bring valuables, as the centre will not be responsible for any loss.
Exam Centre In Riyadh
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also conduct the re-examination at a special centre in Riyadh. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has released detailed guidelines covering exam timing, entry rules, documents, dress code, and security procedures. The exam in Riyadh will be held at the International Indian School Riyadh (IISR), Boys’ Section, located in Rawdah. Candidates will be allowed to enter the centre from 8:30 AM, and they are advised to report before 10:30 AM to complete verification and frisking on time. Entry gates will close at 11:00 AM, after which no candidate will be allowed inside. The exam will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:45 PM (KSA time).
The NTA has urged all candidates to strictly follow the guidelines and cooperate with staff to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. Arriving on time and adhering to dress code and security rules will help students avoid last-minute stress on exam day.
