The 2026 Grammys carpet turned into both a fashion moment and a statement and Billie Eilish made sure hers did both.
Arriving at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the multi-nominated artist
stepped out in a sharply tailored, suit-inspired look by Hodakova that blended deconstruction with quiet rebellion. The outfit featured a navy jacket crafted from upcycled wool trousers, layered over a white shirt with extra sleeves peeking through, paired with a skirt, knee-high socks, and striking heels. True to Hodakova’s aesthetic, deadstock belts were worked into the styling, giving the ensemble a layered, reconstructed feel. The look was designed by Ellen Hodakova Larsson.
But it wasn’t just the craftsmanship drawing attention. Pinned to the collar was a black-and-white badge reading “ICE Out,” aligning Eilish with fellow public figures using the red carpet to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions in Minneapolis and across the U.S. The pin, previously seen on celebrities at Sundance, has become a visual symbol of solidarity with demonstrators.

Eilish’s appearance continues a long tradition of memorable Grammy fashion. In 2025, she leaned into gothic nautical energy with a Prada ensemble and sailor’s cap. A year earlier, riding the cultural wave of Barbie, she wore a custom varsity jacket by Chrome Hearts accented with pink details. Her Grammy debut in 2020 was equally unforgettable, when she arrived in a black-and-neon Gucci set designed by Alessandro Michele.
With nine Grammy wins already under her belt, Eilish heads into this year’s ceremony nominated for both Song and Record of the Year for “Wildflower.”
Hosted once again by Trevor Noah at Crypto.com Arena, the 2026 ceremony celebrates the best of music from the past year, with performances by Lady Gaga, Addison Rae, and Sabrina Carpenter, and nominees including Bad Bunny, Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Eilish herself. The show airs live on CBS and streams on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET.
