Birthdays are built around small details that hold big meaning. The cake usually becomes the most personal part of the celebration. The message on it matters just as much. But what happens when this message is not
the one meant to be seen?
A viral video from Pune, which features a birthday celebration, has caught attention online. A group of friends ordered a cake for their friend through Zomato, but when it arrived, the message was not quite what was intended.
Zomato Cake With Bizarre Message
The video features a woman who is seen standing near a box which carries her birthday cake. But here’s the twist: instead of a birthday greeting, the cake carried the words “Leave at security,” written in icing. The phrase, commonly used while ordering food in residential societies, was meant only for the delivery agent. Somehow, it made its way directly onto the cake.
The woman looks at the cake and then she bursts out laughing. Her friends react instantly, some laughing along while others point at the message as everyone realises what has happened.
While posting the clip on Instagram, the woman wrote, “So it was my birthday. My friend ordered a cake from Zomato and the cake guy literally mentioned ‘Leave at security’.”

Since being shared online, the reel has exploded to viral fame and accumulated more than one million views. The comment section turned into a collection of similar experiences shared by users who had faced instruction-related mishaps while ordering cakes and food online.
One user shared, “I once wrote in the Zomato instructions section – write “happy birthday mom” and they wrote “write happy birthday mom”.”
Another said, “Zomato never fails on their delivery instructions.”
“Happy belated birthday leave at security,” someone jokingly wrote while a person added, “We had ordered a cake once… And they asked what name should be on the cake? We said Should be Ameer… And we got the cake… They had written “Should be Ameer” on the cake.”
An individual suggested, “That’s why never give such instruction for cake or just write happy birthday.”
“She will never forget this birthday,” a viewer replied.
“Bahot dukh ke sath hasna pad raha hai. Aadhar card pe naya naam update kar dijiye (Laughing with great sadness. Please update the name on the Aadhaar card),” read another comment.
So next time you order a cake, double-check your instructions before they end up in icing.
