In an industry where success often comes with its share of attention, accolades and public recognition, Sai Pallavi appears to have a rather different approach to life. At least, that is what her Ramayana
co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Yash have observed while working alongside her.
During a recent promotional interaction in London, Ranbir described Sai as the most spiritual person he had ever met, while Yash offered an insight into what makes her stand out. According to him, the actor rarely takes credit for anything and instead attributes things to God or the universe.
The conversation offered a rather personal glimpse into the equation between the three actors, who are currently preparing for the release of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation of the Indian epic.
Ranbir Kapoor Is All Praise For Sai Pallavi’s Spiritual Side
Ranbir did not hold back when he was asked about Sai Pallavi. The actor described her personality and presence as distinctly spiritual, suggesting that it was something he had noticed beyond their professional association.
“This is a trivia about her. She’s the most spiritual person I’ve met in my entire life. Just the personality she has, her aura, her spirit is extremely spiritual,” he said.
Sai, who was listening to the compliment, responded with a smile and a touch of humour. Rather than accepting the praise outright, she said, “And I think he’s very generous and kind.”
It was a brief exchange, but one that reflected the easy camaraderie between the co-stars.
Yash Says Sai Pallavi Doesn’t Take Credit For Anything
Yash took the conversation a little further, explaining that Sai’s spirituality is not something she merely talks about. It is reflected in the way she conducts herself, particularly when it comes to acknowledging success.
He observed that people can sometimes become caught up in their own achievements and forget to look beyond themselves. Sai, he suggested, approaches things differently.
According to Yash, she does not claim credit for everything that happens in her life. Instead, she gives it to God or the universe.
His observation offered a more intimate perspective on Sai’s personality, especially because it came from someone who has spent time working alongside her. It was not simply a comment about her public image, but an appreciation of how she approaches everyday life.
Sai, meanwhile, continued to deflect the compliments, crediting both actors for being extremely generous.
Sai Pallavi’s Spiritual Side Adds Another Dimension To Her Role As Sita
The conversation is particularly interesting given that Sai Pallavi is playing Sita in Ramayana. The character occupies a central place in one of India’s most revered epics, and the role carries considerable cultural and emotional significance.
For the actor, this is also a major departure in terms of the scale of the project. Known for performances in films such as Premam, Fidaa, Love Story and Gargi, Sai has built a reputation for choosing roles that allow her to explore emotionally layered characters.
Her portrayal of Sita has consequently been one of the most discussed aspects of the upcoming film. While audiences will ultimately judge the performance after watching the film, her co-stars’ comments offer an interesting glimpse into the person behind the character.
It is worth noting that Ranbir and Yash were speaking about their personal experiences with Sai rather than making claims about how she will approach the role. Nevertheless, their observations have added another talking point to the film’s promotional campaign.
Ramayana’s Rs 4,000 Crore Scale And Two-Part Release
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is being developed as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Hindu epic.
The scale of the project has been a major talking point. In a conversation with Prakhar Gupta, Namit Malhotra revealed that the combined budget for both instalments would be approximately $500 million, or more than Rs 4,000 crore.
“When we set out to make this six or seven years ago, people thought I was a lunatic because no Indian film comes close to this scale,” the producer said, explaining the ambition behind the project.
He also maintained that the intention was to take the epic to international audiences while remaining mindful of production costs.
The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
The first instalment is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on November 5, 2026, with the second part planned for 2027.
With the release approaching, the London promotional interaction has given audiences something beyond the usual film updates: a glimpse into the respect and affection that the lead actors have developed for one another.
