As temperatures dip ever so slightly, Mumbai’s eateries are welcoming winter with limited-time menus that make the most of the season. From richer, comfort-style dishes to warm desserts and spice-forward
drinks, chefs across the city are reimagining their staples with a cosy, seasonal twist.
These specials are designed to be fleeting – here for just a few weeks – turning every outing into a “now or never” experience. This story explores some of the most exciting winter menus on offer and why this is the perfect time to dine out in the city.
Slurp the khowsuey away at Burma Burma
Rediscover Burma’s iconic dish – Khowsuey – this winter. This limited edition menu is guided by Burmese home cooks and keepers of culinary heritage and includes the signature Oh No Khowsuey, the heirloom Grandma’s Famous Khowsuey, the light soupy Shwe Taung bowl and the spicy Downtown version, with each carrying its own memory and story. This menu also has the addition of the Zero Proof cocktail, with each drink being built around Burmese herbs, spices and non-alcoholic spirits. Each cocktail echoes Burmese flavours and pairs well with the Khowsuey bowls.

A sip of chai at Nksha Hi-Tea
Crisp winter evenings in Mumbai call for an exquisite high tea at Nksha. The menu features a gastronomic odyssey combining tradition and innovation that delights the senses. Partake in an array of delectable savouries that span the spectrum from Paneer Kathi Roll to Avocado Sev Puri, Jodhpuri Michi Vada, Punjabi Mini Samosa, and more. No high tea is complete without refreshing beverages, which include the likes of Dalgona Coffee, Masala Chai, and Masala Shikanji. The Motichoor Ladoo and Malai Chaap are a sweet indulgence.

Warming mustard is the highlight at Kona Kona
The Feast Bengal – Season IV is a one-day pop-up by Mustard & Memories that brings Mumbai a rare taste of forgotten home-style Bengali recipes. Crafted by Brinda Bos Sengupta, it shines a light on dishes rarely found outside traditional Bengali households, like Chhanar Bora with delicate chhena roundels; Alu Kabli, a Kolkata favourite with potatoes, chana, tomatoes, and cucumber; Loitta Jhurir Tikki, which is a Bombay duck speciality; and the cult-favourite Egg Chop, among others.
It will be available on Sunday, 14th December from 12 PM onwards
Indian traditions get a winter twist at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu
Rooted in heritage yet reimagined for the contemporary gourmand, the new winter menu at Saffron at Saffron, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, brings nostalgia with refined craftsmanship. The menu by Chef Asif Qureshi includes soups like the Zaffarani Mutton Paya Shorba, with Kashmiri saffron and Tellicherry peppercorns, and Phallo Ka Shorba, made from locally sourced sherbet berries. Try the Jimikand Ke Galouti that’s made with purple yam, Pani Phal Ke Kebab, which includes water chestnuts, and Murgh Angar has an artisanal spice blend. No winter meal is complete without Gajar Ka Halwa, which has a hint of Kashmiri saffron.

Championing wholesome, flavour-forward dining, Santé’s Spa’s new menu for winter taps into their ethos of mindful eating and seasonal freshness. The new lineup brings together comforting winter flavours like the Quinoa ‘Biryani’, an aromatic Burmese Khaukswe Bowl, a rustic Woodland Ragi Pizza, and truffle-kissed Baked Mac ‘N Cheese, where each dish blends nourishment with modern, flavour-rich profiles. If you are looking for warm, hearty offerings, try Sarson Da Saag with Charkoni Missi and the Stir-Fried Ponkh Dazzler.
