The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) aren’t having a great time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Three consecutive defeats and zero points in their kitty have left them reeling at the bottom-most spot
on the points table. While the men in yellow keep searching for ways to bounce back, the fans can’t wait to see legendary MS Dhoni back in action.
Dhoni has missed the first three matches of the season as he is recovering from a calf strain. If reports are to be believed, the former CSK captain is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his injury and will require at least another week to regain full match fitness. But away from the buzz, Dhoni has begun sweating it out in the training ground.
In a viral video, Dhoni was seen hitting sixes and even running between the wickets. Although the CSK management is yet to say anything about the big man’s availability for CSK’s next match at home, against DC, this video has given hope to the Chennai fans.

Earlier, a report by Cricbuzz stated that MS Dhoni would miss Chennai Super Kings’ upcoming IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals, scheduled for April 11 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Dhoni is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his injury and is expected to need at least another week to regain full match fitness. The report adds that CSK are optimistic about his return for their April 18 fixture against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
The five-time champions are also dealing with another injury concern, with South African batter Dewald Brevis still recovering. However, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan remains hopeful.
“MS is undergoing rehab, and it will take some time. We can’t say how much time. We are hoping Brevis will be available for the next game,” he said.
