If you are looking for what’s currently running and drawing attention, here are five theatrical releases that audiences are already talking about.
Dhurandhar
Starring Ranveer Singh , Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal,, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun Dhurandhar has been creating waves at the box office. Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar takes inspiration from real-life incidents rooted in geopolitical conflict and covert R&AW operations, particularly those linked to Operation Lyari, a Pakistan-led crackdown on criminal syndicates in Karachi’s Lyari region.
The film released on December 5 and already crossed the Rs 350 crore mark.
Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2
Kapil Sharma made a grand return to big screens with the sequel to his 2015 hit Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon. The summary of the film reads: “A man secretly married to three women of different faiths plans a fourth wedding while avoiding detection. A police officer searches for a triple-married suspect as the husband confesses to a priest.”
Alongside Kapil, the film also stars Sushant Singh, the late Asrani, Akhilendra Mishra, Vipin Sharma, Jamie Lever, Smita Jaykar, and Supriya Shukla in key roles.
Akhanda 2
Boyapati Sreenu’s high-octane sequel to Akhanda, revolves around a looming bio-warfare threat to India, with the hero stepping in to protect the nation while reaffirming faith in duty and divinity. Akhanda 2 stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyukta Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, Sasata Chatterjee and others.
Tere Ishk Mein
Directed by Anand L Rai, Tere Ishq Mein follows Shankar, a hot-headed and impulsive young man who falls deeply in love with Mukti during their college days. While their romance blooms, Mukti eventually chooses to marry someone else.The film explores a love story that challenges logic, time, and destiny. A.R Rahman composed the music of the film.
Avatar: Fire and Ash
Directed by James Cameron, Avatar Fire and Ash is the sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water and the third installment in Avatar franchise. The science fiction film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, Giovannie Ribisi and others. The film will be released on December 19.
