The actor believes public curiosity about celebrities often goes beyond what is necessary. While acknowledging that actors and cricketers attract attention, Aamir questioned why personal milestones become such major talking points. “I don’t see why (there’s all the frenzy). There is too much interest in the lives of celebrities, especially cricketers and actors. People should be interested in our work, not our personal lives,” the actor told Variety India.
His comments come after reports about his wedding plans went viral even before he had publicly discussed the ceremony in detail.

Despite the spotlight on the relationship, Aamir and Gauri Spratt have no plans for a grand public celebration. The actor revealed that the wedding will be a quiet affair attended only by their closest circle. “(It will be) very private. It’s a very simple registered marriage, at home, with just both the families, and really close friends,” he shared.

Aamir first introduced Bengaluru-based Gauri Spratt to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations in March this year. Since then, the couple have made a handful of public appearances together, including at the premiere of Sitaare Zameen Par.
