Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech had a special shoutout to the young generations of the country. In line with the government’s resolve for ‘Viksit Bharat’, he invited start-ups to bring
their innovative ideas, while announcing that Rs 1 crore has been allotted to assist them in research and development.
The Prime Minister made the remarks while addressing the nation from the iconic Red Fort in New Delhi as the country marked its 80th Independence Day on Saturday, August 15.
“I want to tell the youth of the country: bring your dreams, and we will not let there be any shortage of resources. We have created a system with Rs 1 lakh crore to provide strength to your ideas and capabilities”, he said.

PM Modi reiterated the ‘Make in India’ vow, asserting the country possesses plenty of resources to help the younger generations thrive.
“New opportunities for research have been created. Digital India and affordable data have empowered the youth. If there is affordable data anywhere in the world, it is here on the soil of India. And this has given the youth of the country new strength”, he said.
‘Govt To Train 1 Crore People In AI Skills’
Prime Minister Modi announced the Centre’s initiative to train one crore people in Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills, underscoring a wider digital transformation driven by AI across the globe.
“From the Red Fort, I want to make an announcement for the youth of the country. We have decided that in the coming year, we will train 1 crore young people in AI skills, so that the youth of our country can develop the capability to lead in the world of AI”, he said.
PM’s Message To Gen Z
PM Narendra Modi expressed faith in the youth of the country and highlighted the need for their contributions in making India developed by 2047.
“I have faith in the youth of my country, the mothers and sisters of my country, the farmers of my country, and the workers of my country that we can make this dream a reality,” he said.
The remarks coincided with this year’s Independence Day theme of ‘Yuva Shakti’ in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
