Chhattisgarh Train Accident Live Updates: In a tragic incident, several people were feared dead, and several were injured after a passenger train collided with a goods train near the Jairamnagar station
in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.
As per preliminary information, a MEMU local train (No. 68733) traveling from Gevra Road to Bilaspur, collided with a goods train on the up line between Gatora and Bilaspur around 4 pm today.
Videos from the spot showed the first coach of the Korba passenger train mounted on the goods train due to the collision. Several people were seen gathered near the site while authorities carried out rescue operations.
Railway authorities have rushed emergency teams to the site, and all necessary resources have been mobilised. The injured passengers are being provided immediate medical treatment, officials said.
