Millions love Rashmika Mandanna for her charm, charisma and fashion-forward personality. But behind the glamour, the popular actress is much more grounded and sentimental than everyone knows.
Speaking in a candid
interview, Rashmika reflected on the unobserved emotional burden of fame and how she’s always juggling the public persona and her actual self.
Rashmika Talks About Her ‘Brand’ and Public Personality
In an interview with Nayandeep Rakshit, the actress put forward a genuine opinion regarding celebrity culture and how it molds your identity.
“I am an actor, and I am labelling myself under this brand name Rashmika Mandanna. With all the things that people tell you —’Oh you cannot say this, you cannot behave like this, you cannot do this’—that turns into your online personality. It is something of you, but it is not fully you,” she explained.
She explained that the world view online is just half of her. There is a huge contrast between the Rashmika supporters observe on social media and the Rashmika that the people closest to her know in the real world.
A Kinder, Simpler Rashmika at Home
Talking about herself off-camera, she mentioned, “If you catch me at home, you will be surprised what an old-fashioned person I am. I will be the one feeding everybody, asking if they slept well. I don’t know Gen Z vocabulary. I am not capable of adapting these things. I am indeed an emotional person, but I cannot actually express it outside, because in all honesty, these times, people consider kindness as being insincere.”
She leads a simple, warm life at home. She loves taking care of individuals and is not always connected to trends on the internet. However, she keeps her emotional aspect hidden from the rest of the world.
Emotional Effect of Stardom
Rashmika also spoke about how hard it is not to be affected by public opinion. She admitted that although she has become stronger, online negativity still affects her greatly.
“I care too much and do get affected by it. But it has been a recurring journey of living through it and recovering from it all these years,” she confessed.
Her Work in 2025: Balancing Art and Stardom
This year, Rashmika demonstrated an impressive range in languages and genres of films. She enacted Maharani Yesubai against Vicky Kaushal in the period drama Chhaava. She also appeared in Saisri Rajkot with Salman Khan in Sikandar.
She starred in the bilingual Kuberaa playing Sameera alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna. Next, she appears in the Hindi movie Thama and the Telugu drama The Girlfriend.
With each new role, Rashmika grows more exponentially — not only as a star, but as a deeply introspective human building her brand, step by reflective step.
