Hours after U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced the peace negotiations between Washington and Tehran had collapsed, President Donald Trump gave a strong hint about what his next step would be as he signalled
an intense military action against Iran.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump reposted an article from the website ‘Just the News’, which shed light on what actions the president could take against Tehran after the talks yielded no results.
“If Iran refuses to accept the final deal the United States offered Saturday, Trump could bomb Tehran back to the “Stone Ages” as he vowed. Or he might just reprise his successful blockade strategy to choke an already teetering Iranian economy and ratchet up diplomatic pressure on China and India by cutting them off one of their key sources of oil”, read the article.

The article also highlighted how the U.S. Navy could exert control over the Strait of Hormuz — a crucial maritime chokepoint that became the focal point of the war after Iran blocked it, disrupting global energy supplies.
“It would be very easy for the US Navy to exert complete control over what does and does not go up and down the Strait now,” the outlet quoted the Lexington Institute’s national security expert Rebecca Grant.
“I’ve heard about 10 ships have moved in the last 24 hours. One of them was a reflagged Russian tanker, and we know that cargos have gone out to China, to India, and we’ve seen some inbound traffic”, she added.

U.S.-Iran Talks Fallout
On Sunday, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced the talks between Washington and Tehran had showed no results.
“We have been at it for 21 hours, and we had several discussions with Iranians; we have not reached an agreement, and that is bad news for Iran more than it is bad news for the USA”, he said, adding the Iranian side “chose not to accept” conditions tabled by the U.S.
Iran, on the other hand, cautioned the U.S. against excessive demands and unlawful requests”, signalling its strong objection to the conditions laid by Washington.
“The US flew their Vice President halfway across the world to Islamabad. 21 hours of talks. They demanded everything they couldn’t achieve through war. Iran said a BIG NO. The talks are over. The Strait is still closed. And the VP is flying home empty-handed. Just Iran’s word. Again. They don’t have any option left to save face,” reads Iran Embassy in Ghana post on X.
