What is the story about?
Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar was sworn in as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Friday. The Chief Minister had resigned from the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) on March
30 following his election to the upper house.
Earlier, BJP chief Nitin Nabin had said that there would be no differences in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the impending appointment of a new Bihar Chief Minister due to CM Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha move.
In an interview with news agency ANI, Nitin Nabin said that the process was moving forward in a structured manner. “There are no differences anywhere; everything is proceeding as per schedule. Nitish Kumar is taking the oath of office in the Rajya Sabha on the 10th,” he had said.
