She rose to fame with Bigg Boss 13 and
later ventured into Bollywood with films like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Thank You For Coming, though they didn’t bring her the stardom she expected. Shehnaaz returned to the spotlight with a Punjabi film Ikk Kudi where she not only played the lead but also served as its producer. The film received widespread appreciation.

Shehnaaz is over the moon as Ikk Kudi collected around Rs 15 crore worldwide despite being a regional release. The film also stood out as a bold, woman-led Punjabi project, offering a refreshing contrast to male-dominated narratives in regional cinema.
The industry is now abuzz with discussions around Shehnaaz Gill’s sharp business sense. As per a report by Hindustan Times, Shehnaaz shared how took the stop to venture into production. She said , “My heart kept telling me this was the moment to do something big for myself. That inner voice is what pushed me to finally debut as a producer. I believed in the script so deeply that investing in it felt more like faith than risk.”
She added, “It was challenging to play the lead while also holding the reins as a producer, handling everything from creative calls to operational chaos. But trust me, when you watch people enjoy what you have created, that smile on their faces, that feel-good energy, every long night and every tough moment feels absolutely worth it.”
She attributes her success to hard work and dedication. “There’s no replacement for it. Even with talent, you need preparation, the right mindset, and discipline. You can never take anything for granted. Even on days when you feel like you’ve done your best, you should still ask if there is a better version,” she said.
Shehnaaz Gill: “An Artist is Nothing Without Their Audience”
While her dedication and hard work played a major role to gain her recognition, the actress also believes that stardom is nothing without who built it and they are fans.
She said “I truly believe an artist is nothing without their audience. Whatever stardom people talk about, it’s something my fans have built for me brick by brick, with their love, their prayers, and their energy. Their support has healed me, lifted me, and shaped me in ways I can never fully express.”
“Whenever I feel low, I open Instagram or Twitter and read their messages. Honestly, the way they stand by me at times makes me feel stronger than I ever thought I am. They are my family and this kind of unconditional love is rare and sacred,” she added.
