The latest episode features sisters Neeti Mohan, Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan, who join Karan Johar for a candid discussion on wedding festivities, especially the pressure surrounding sangeet performances, bridal styling and choreography.
During the conversation, Karan Johar asked the sisters about the expectations around dancing at sangeet ceremonies. The Mohan sisters shared that everyone performed exceptionally well during Mukti Mohan’s sangeet, making it a memorable celebration.
Sangeet Styling, Dance Pressure and Wardrobe Malfunctions
As the discussion shifted to hair, makeup, outfits and dance performances during sangeet nights, Karan Johar humorously pointed out, “you do not want a wardrobe malfunction on the stage.” Shakti Mohan agreed and revealed a funny detail about Mukti’s outfit, saying it was held together by just one string. She added that the look was inspired by Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Karan Johar’s Hilarious Anecdote About You Are My Soniya
Karan Johar then shared a behind-the-scenes story from the song You Are My Soniya, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. He recalled how choreographer Farah Khan carefully demonstrated every dance step to Kareena, as she was performing alongside Hrithik.

According to Karan, after watching the steps, Kareena said, “This kekda style dancing I can’t do. He’s too good of a dancer I can’t do. You put the camera here (upper angle).” He added that in the final song, Kareena is mostly seen dancing from the upper body while Hrithik performs the full choreography.
Karan further joked, “There have been many times when she has looked at the camera and said you are my soniya. Bhaiya camera isn’t your soniya.., Hrithik Roshan hai tumhare samne.” To which Kareena reportedly replied that the camera would always be her Soniya.
Shakti Mohan on Learning You Are My Soniya Frame by Frame
Reacting to the anecdote, Shakti Mohan said she knows the song’s choreography perfectly. “If you play this song I can do the choreography from first second to the last. Frame by Frame humne raata huya hain.” Karan Johar also revealed another fun detail about Kareena Kapoor Khan, sharing, “she does not work without blower fans.” The Mohan sisters unanimously agreed that regardless of everything, Kareena was outstanding in the song.

Neeti Mohan has collaborated extensively with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, lending her voice to several popular tracks, including the iconic Ishq Wala Love from Student of the Year (2012). Karan reminisced about shooting the song in snow-covered locations and mentioned that it remains one of his personal favourites.
