As the global energy crunch deepens amid West Asia conflict, US President Donald Trump said fuel prices could fall sharply once the war with Iran comes to an end. Speaking about the rising cost of gasoline,
Trump pointed out that while prices of several goods have started easing, fuel remains expensive because of uncertainty linked to the ongoing situation.
He suggested that the end of the war could bring relief to consumers, with oil and gasoline prices likely to “come tumbling down.”
While speaking to reporters, Trump also linked the crisis to broader security concerns involving Iran and its nuclear ambitions. He stated that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is critical to global stability, warning that such a development would put the world “in great jeopardy.” At the same time, he expressed confidence that the situation would not escalate to that point.
“Other prices are way down, but gasoline’s high. But when this is over, you’ll have a world without a nuclear weapon with Iran. If you allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, the world would be in great jeopardy. So it’s not going to happen. As soon as the war ends, the gasoline prices will come down,” Trump told reporters.
The remarks come at a time when the global energy market is facing volatility due to supply disruptions and uncertainty surrounding Middle Eastern oil exports.
‘I Am Not Satisfied’: Trump On Iran’s New Proposal

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, “They want to make a deal, but I’m not satisfied with it, so we’ll see what happens.”
“They’ve made strides, but I’m not sure if they ever get there,” Trump added.
