Rashmika Mandanna is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Cocktail 2, with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. On June 2, the entire cast was seen gracing the trailer launch event of their film in the city.
The trailer has been getting a good response from the fans on social media. Amid the love and praise coming their way, Rashmika, along with Shahid and Kriti, spoke about their “pehla pyaar” at the event.
On being asked about her first love, Rashmika Mandanna chose to dodge the question and instead focus on her married life with Vijay Deverakonda. She said, “I’m very happy being married right now, so I don’t think I should backtrack there.” When Kriti further asked if she remembers her first love, Rashmika replied, “Why? I’m very happy here, now, (in the) present.” Kriti also shared her views on first love and said, “Jab hota hai shayad pyaar hai, phir lagta hai shayad nahi tha. (When it happens, it feels like love, and then later on it doesn’t). It happens.”
Shahid Kapoor added, “I don’t think sab ko yaad rehta hai (I don’t think everyone remembers). What matters is your aakhri pyaar. Pehla pyaar toh pata bhi nahi hota kya hota hai. (You don’t even know what love is at first). But love is when you can settle and you know you can be with someone forever, accept them for however they are.”
Rashmika and Vijay dated each other for quite some time before sealing the deal in February 2026. They got married in an intimate yet grand wedding ceremony, attended by close friends and family members in Udaipur. After the private ceremony, the couple hosted a star-studded reception in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Cocktail 2 is helmed by Homi Adajania, who also created the first part. It featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles. The fun and fresh trailer of Cocktail 2 has amped up excitement among the audience. It is all set to hit theatres on June 19.
