A chilling CCTV video of a dog attacking several people in quick succession has gone viral on the social media platform X, sparking fresh concerns about public safety and rabies risks.
The clip begins with
three men seated outdoors, appearing relaxed and unaware of any imminent danger. Within moments, a dog approaches from behind and suddenly lunges at one of them, knocking him off his chair.
The situation escalates quickly as the animal then charges toward another man seated on a nearby cot, biting his leg. Although the dog is briefly pushed away, it does not retreat for long and soon attempts to attack a third passerby in the vicinity.
As panic spreads, the first victim tries to fend off the animal using a chair, but the dog circles back and attacks again. The chaos continues until two more individuals intervene and manage to drive the animal away. The intensity and speed of the attacks, all unfolding in a matter of seconds, have left viewers alarmed.
The video has triggered a wave of reactions online, with several users expressing concern over the dog’s behaviour. Some suggested that the aggression seen in the footage resembled symptoms associated with rabies, a serious viral infection that can be fatal if not treated promptly.
“He has rabies for sure,” a user wrote.
“This is classic rabies behavior….and anyone who got bitten or even scratched should rush to the hospital,” said another.

“I always keep an iron walking stick while walking on streets where stray dogs are roaming. I think I need to take more precautions. My walking stick is not sufficient to deal with this situation. The healthy men failed terribly. The plastic chair was broken. So scary,” another comment read.
Experts underline that rabies is a life-threatening disease typically transmitted through animal bites or saliva entering open wounds. The viral clip has once again brought attention to the broader issue of stray animal management in India.
